‘Experimental Education in China’ Symposium in Beijing


Hosted by AA School Director Brett Steele, today’s afternoon symposium in Beijing is titled ‘Experimental Education in China’. Featuring architects and educators from across Beijing, the symposium will present the recent student work from the AA School and visiting schools from the past two years.

A Saturday Discussing 60s/70s ‘Little’ Architectural Magazines


Part of the crowd settling into the opening session of Saturday’s ‘little talks’ sessions coinciding with the opening of ‘Clip, Stamp, Fold’; an exhibition of influential 1960s & 70s ‘little magazines’ in Europe and the UK curated by Princeton’s ‘Media & Modernity’ & PhD programmes; symposium organised by Beatriz Colomina & AACP’s Shumon Basar.

Saturday afternoon’s ‘Little Talks’ sessions in the AA Lecture Hall brought together a dozen of the producers of Europe and the UK’s most influential ‘little’ architectural journals and magazines from the 1960s & 70s; Peter Murray, Dennis Sharp, Mary Wall, Peter Cook, Dennis Crompton, David Greene, Rafael Moneo, Charles Jencks, Stanislas van Moos, Claude Parent–and a whole host of others.
